Electric Circuits, A Unique Kingston Experience

Electric Circuits Electronic Music and Digital Arts Festival is currently gearing up for their second year of festivities in the City of Kingston. Featuring cutting-edge, and under-represented all Canadian based artists, this local event is not your average music fest. Over two nights, visitors will enjoy immersive, digital arts and electronic music. Artists will also represent diversity as broad representation is central to Electric Circuits’ collective vision. Attracting an eclectic and diverse group of attendees, this celebration is bringing people together from across Canada to enjoy tech + digital art.

Electric Circuits brings together technology, art, and digital media – creating a unique dance party right here in the heart of Kingston! This is an all ages and licensed event spread over two nights which offers 6 rooms in two incredible venues including the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts on April 20th and The Renaissance Event Venue on April 21st.

Electric Circuits collective member Shannon Brown spoke to iK about the amazing synergy created by this event, “This is an all Canadian festival, with an influx of attendees and artists coming in from Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and points in between! Electric Circuits is a synergy between technology and the arts and the result is a highly immersive community experience. You can expect techno, bass, turntablism, house, ambient vibes and more! This fest has something for everyone, especially if you like to dance.” Digital arts is a big part of the world we’re living in and Electric Circuits has been working with iK in their collaborative work/meeting space at the Portsmouth Village Town Hall, where they enjoyed the flexibility and friendly atmosphere.

Innovate Kingston and the EC supporting partners join Electric Circuits on the opening day, April 21st, to share in the collective spirit. Attendees can stop by our booth and find out what’s going on at iK, learn more about new membership offerings, and join their Slack channel. iK supports local partnerships within the business start-up community, offering a space where you can work, attend networking events, and collaborate with like-minded entrepreneurs, makers and creators.
